This movie sounds a lot like a Buster Keaton silent classic in which the man will inherit one million dollars if he is married. Only he is single and has until 4:00 to do so. His girlfriend passes up the bid thinking he is marrying her only for the money. So he goes around town asking total strangers to marry him.
The girl finally agrees to marry the man, and he spends the rest of the film making a mad dash to the church.
Sound familiar?
