You have Naomi Watts, who is tremendous in "21 Grams." Plus, she is due after her snub for "Mullholland Drive."
Scarlett Johannson has no chance, but she was great in "LiT," which I'm sure will turn out to be a much better & deeper film than "SGG."
I just know that Samantha Morton kills in "In America." Like you, though, I passed on an advanced screening. I just have no real desire to see this film except for her.
I hear Jennifer Connelly gives her best performance ever in "House" & it looks that way from perviews.
Charlize Theron is supposed to be tremendous in "Monster," but I don't see it.
Keisha Castle Hughes deserves a nomination, but, again, she likely has no chance.
Holly Hunter was great in "13," and she's an Academy favorite.
While "The Missing" was just okay, I thought that Blanchett was really damn good.
I'm sure that Hope Davis was great in "Dentists," but I had no desire to see it.
Charlotte Rampling is a great actress. I need to see "Swimming Pool.
I don't know how Clarkson will be classified.
Nicole Kidman sounds like crap in "Cold Mountain."
Seriously, Aron, how much do you want to bet that all of the above films are far better & that all of the characters played by the above characters are far more interesting than "SGG" & Keaton's character. Maybe I'm judging too early, but this is a Nancy Meyers film.
