10/03/02: The problem with marriage is the same as the problem with love...

You don't know what is good or bad until you've had it good and bad. If all you've had are bad marriages/relationships, then you won't know what a good one is supposed to be like.

Speaking as a divorced hypocrite who said "I'll never get married again, there's no reason to get married nowadays, it's only a piece of paper, it only costs you money in the end, blah blah blah," there is a different feeling when you know you're in a good relationship and that a marriage may actually have a chance. But again, it's just one of those things... if you question it AT ALL (which is very very difficult to admit to yourself), then you should never, Never, NEVER get married. But, if there is no question in either of your minds (and you have admitted every difficulty to yourself and your significant other), then the natural desired is there to WANT to get married.
