Well, after missing 2 Saturdays in a row because of going to the beach, I was back in action! Whoo hoo! And I walked in to about a trillion squirrels. I said to Michelle when she came in, "this is almost too many squirrels for *me*!" I have no idea why we have so many. There are two squirrel seasons a year: feb/march and aug/sep. The aug/sep one is usually a bit heavier just because they've had a chance to get more food stored up and stuff so they have bigger litters, etc. And we usually get more babies in because of storms. But there hasn't been nary a drop from the sky since I can remember. So why the extra babies? A man asked me that today and I told him I hadn't a clue.
We also had 3 of the cutest/most beautiful pigeons in. One has been there awhile. It's a fancy pigeon, fluffy white feathers that go all the way down to his toes and a cute short beak. I love that one. And we have this brown and white one and one Michelle and I were calling The Dalmation because it was kind of black and white spotted. Oh my god it was soooooo beautiful. Man I want my land so I can have a big aviary and take these freakin pigeons home with me!! Polly joked: "well, you have more than one bedroom. Why don't you just make one of the bedrooms a pigeon room. Then you'd have pigeons upstairs and doves downstairs." [that was in response to my half-hearted, sarcastic question about pigeons and doves getting along] At least I think she was joking.
Okay, it's time for me to get perverted again. We have a new volunteer, Ethan. He's a young'n (but over the age of consent in my state...ahem...). He was sooo cute. No, I could never teach at a high school. Found out he lives in my neighborhood and actually knows SR-71's son. I told SR- 71 to tell his son to put in a good word for me. :-)
Man, I wrote this whole thing about my last major crush there (not including Andrew, which is a semi-formed crush) and one of the sexiest things ever to me and had put a note in the subject line that it was a little sex talk for TMundo (since I didn't really participate in the sex in weird places thread), but then I chickened out.
