But you can definitly get some much deeper games on it in certain areas. Strategy, simulation, RPG's. Shit FPS's are a pale imitation on consoles. The difference in smoothness (frame rate, control, graphics even, everything) and clarity between UT2k3 and Unreal Championship for example is pretty stunning. They're not in the same world. Plus, shit, gosh knows how many super freaking cool mod levels, bonus packs, you could download for it on the PC. I remember on UT I used to play on some public servers that would just trip me the fuck out. They had one level with a digitized XXX porn video playing on a giant wall in the background, combined with it being a honey I shrunk the kids sized room to boot. They had levels based loosely on the "Enemy at the Gates" (A stalingrad style bombed out city that got shelled every so often, nicely done) and "Dark City" movies. They had (classic) Metallica and Prodigy songs playing in the background. Also emulators can be fun and a whole nother world.
I just don't see how you can be an engineer, a geek, a gamer, have a broadband connection sitting there, and not have a PC..They're fun to mess with too.. I'd rather build my own, probably. You could do it for $600...
