I agree entirely. The counterarguments hold no weight in the face of Psychlo (hey, guys, please capitalize it, we don't lowercase God, now, do we?) technological superiority.
Also, in regards to "poor" special effects, I believe you have forgetted that the Psychlos have depleted the Earth's resources; no doubt nitrogen among them. Amid a low- nitrogen atmosphere, how can you possibly begin to presume to know the resulting effects on explosions, etc.?
