I need I little help. Tell me which of these VMA moments is more horrific:
1. The fact that the award for the BEST RINGTONE (WTF?!) recieves more attention that the one for best direction. I mean think about it: for decades music artists have been recieving these awards yet it's the directors who create the videos in the first place (in other words, the artists get credit for just standing there.).
2. Jack Black wasn't his usual funny self. In fact, he looked like he didn't even care (like everyone else).
3. 90% of the videos this year sucked to begin with. I kind of have a problem, for example, with Pink's "Stupid Girl." I'm all for smart chicks and girl power, but doesn't Pink do the same crap as Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan? (i.e. constantly cruising through nightclubs and getting wasted) She even looked a little drunk at the VMAs.
4. Nothing remotely interesting happened! (unless you count the rapper "Six" running on stage, which seemed so staged it's scary)
5. The live performances were bland at best, except for that treadmill performance by Go Go Gadget or whatever their names are. That was extremely cool.
6. That whole "the underdogs came out on top this year" thing. It seems suspiciously staged.
