The PG-13 rating has somehow gotten more strict, and yet more forgiving, as if it wants to be an all ruling dictator. More kid friendly franchises like National Treasure and Harry Potter, (Chamber of Secrets had more blood than Order of the Pheonix, even if niether is at all gory) and it also has adult things like Beowolf. It seems like the MPAA says, "If its for adults, make it R, if it has any kid audience at all, make it PG-13.
