"Armageddon" was indeed last year's top-grossing movie...until "Saving Private Ryan" overtook it after its rerelease.
BTW, ten 1995 films grossed at least $100 million domestically. In 1996 and 1997, that number was fifteen each year. Last year, that number became an astounding eighteen (nineteen if "Shakespeare in Love" ekes over $100 million). And at the rate 1999 films are passing the $100 million mark ("The Matrix," "Analyze This," "The Mummy," "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace" have already done it, and, in a few days, "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me" will), could that record actually be broken by the end of the year?
