...was a 486SX, 33mhz, 4 MB of RAM, 210 MB hard drive, running Win3.1. It had no CD-ROM drive, and I had to add my own sound card (8-bit Soundblaster). I think I got it in '92 or '93, and it met the minimum system requirements for every game on the market at the time. That didn't last long...
I am going to get a computer soon. I don't know whether I am going to spring for a Pentium III, I might just get a fast Pentium II to save a lot of money. I'm definitely going to get at least 128MB of RAM (why not, it's so damn cheap now, when I was looking to upgrade my old computer 4 MB cost $130) and a big hard drive. Still haven't decided if I am going to get a writable CD-ROM drive or DVD. I do know I am going to get 2 top of the line video cards - instead of 2 SLId Voodoos I am going to get a TNT and a Voodoo, so I can have the high resolutions and color depths on the games that support the TNT, and the Voodoo for the rest which don't support Glide.
