Dick York suffered a severe spinal injury while filming a scene in the movie: ROAD TO CORDOBA .
He was in this film in between making BEWITCHED .
They, the producers of the TV series did not eject him, they actually kept him on for a while, though in deminished capacity, until Dick York's pain while shooting a scene became too great and let him go with dignity & concern, not callousnous .
I watched his television interview . .
