he was one of a handful of country singers that I liked.
Sidenote: I just read that he was inducted into the country music hall of fame in 2001. I didn't even know there was a country music hall of fame. How long do you think it'll be until there's a rap music hall of fame? Ska? Techno? How many genres of a form need their own representative? I wonder if there's ever going to be a romantic comedy film hall of fame. Bulgarian film noir hall of fame?
