on my campus we have the "crusade for christ" club. during the annual club drive my college has (which seems to be attracting more and more religeous clubs lately or it could just be my paranoia) someone i know was volunteering for the club so i went over to talk to her and ask her what she was doing at this table with these people. even though there were all the colors of the human rainbow there, they still all acted like overly happy white people with no rhythm. they asked me if i wanted to be in their picture. i said "absolutely not". they asked me why and i told them i had a problem with the name of their club.
"what? jesus? satan's followers can't stand the name of jesus."
"no. the word crusade. i'd rather not be associated with murderers."
"what? we've never murdered anyone."
"yeah! i've never murdered anyone. i'm not a murderer."
"don't you read the history books? do you even know what the crusades were about? are you even in college or are you just here for the pot?"
then i walked away. they were a teeny bit pissed. next time i go i'm going to ask the muslims where the jewish club is. i think i'm going to start a church of the subgenious club.
