That an entire film was wasted on this very tedious and almost antedeluvian concept staggers me. That it got funding and saw screentime nearly forces me to swallow my own face in an effort to subdue my revulsion. I continue to fail to understand how NYU dropouts like this director manage to scrape the dregs of aging American pop culture, injest it, then vomit it out in the form of a "script". That the "director" was sucking off or owed every member in the cast vast amounts of money was obvious. No one uses Robert Downey, Jr. _and_ Brooke Sheilds in a movie unless their PR managers are coming to take your organs - internal or otherwise - for the money you borrowed to make this turd in the first place.
Almost as obnoxious as Michael Jackson trying to be white are white people - not just white, but skinny, northern- descended, untanable, spoiled, grossly ignorant WASP kids - trying to be black. Fubu was made as a pop representation of black culture. Notice the colours compliment dark skin, cracker. This director obviously lived in a suburb with only HBO, because his views on the black/white racial issue are about 50 years behind and candy-coated enough to eat through the enamel of the hardiest 4-year-old. Perhaps this illiterati should consider picking up a newspaper. Blacks and whites have been dating, marrying, interbreeding and making nice, healthily tanned children for centuries. People who have a problem with this are the WASPs - who seem to be universally avoided by everyone else anyways - and the type of people usually only seen on a trip to the deep, deep south and Jerry Springer.
One can only hope that in the future completion guarators recognize this idiot for the waste of space he is, and that some genuinely black people come and beat this man genuinely bloody. That this is a testament to what one socially stupid yet apparently decently-financed American thinks causes one to fervently hope not all Americans are as clueless as he. This thing is one nike-clad step for obnoxious and apiringly obnoxious film students.
