I Have a funny little David Spade encounter for you. I have had a huge crush on David since I first saw him on SNL when I was in college, so while I was out in CA in August to visit a friend of mine I got tickets to see Just Shoot Me (the Cheri Oteri episode). During the downtime they have this guy who plays with the audience to keep them occupied while they move the cameras, etc. He has people come up in front of the audience and do stupid things, and since I have no shame I got up and sang Copacabana. I was atrocious (think Cameron Diaz in My Best Friend's Wedding), but b/c I had so much fun with it, everyone was nice enough to clap for me (including many members of the cast and crew). So I was hamming it up, bowing to the crowd and the crew when I noticed someone's middle finger sticking up at me from the middle of a crowd on the set. So I pointed, the crowd dispersed and of course it was our favorite wiseass David Spade. Rather than be embarrassed, I pointed right at him and called him on it. He laughed and clapped his hands like you got me, then I took the microphone and said in front of everyone "It's all for you David (kiss noise, kiss noise)" He blushed and smiled and the audience guy said oh, looks like someone has a fan in David Spade. For the rest of the show he called me David Spade's girl. What could be better than sharing a sarcastic moment with David in front of 200 strangers? I'm sure he doesn't pay any attention to things like that, but it was the highlight of my trip.
