03/10/98: Re: Deckard no replicant he

There are a number of arguments as to why he is not a replicant. 1.) His lack of physical stength. He is at a sever disadvantage even when fighting the women. Surely a replicant hunter would be given superior strength. 2.) At the beginning of the movie he has quit the police force and only returns reluctantly when threatened. A replicant could not quit being little more than a slave. 3.) If his memories are implants then why was he not given memories that would inspire him to hate replicants? 4.) The unicorn dream altho suggestive is not conclusive. Animals are used as emblems throughout the movie ( think of the snake, the owl, the spider in the girls dream). A unicorn was once an emblem of purity or virginity and may havew been left as a clever comment on the girl.
