The theory has been kicked around that not only is Deckard a rep', but he is one of the rebel replicants. Early in the movie there is talk about six rep's who kill everyone on a shuttle and come to earth. Only five are accounted for in the movie (Pris, Leon, Roy, Snake women, and another who is 'fried' trying to run thru a force field.) According to this theory Deckard is the sixth rep' who is somehow captured, brainwashed, and then turned loss to kill the others. Roy seems to recognize Deckard and calls him by name altho they have never met. Leon and the snake dancer also seem to be familar with him. in the original screenplay Mr. Tyrell was a type of rep' who used a clone of himself to continue to run things while his original body was kept in cryo storage ( like Walt Disney.)
