Philip K. Dick, great science fiction writer. The book is do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? It is all about religion and the meaning of life. Not to take away from Harrison Ford, Jimmy Hong, and the late Brion James ("wake up, it's time to die") but the movie misses the mark with it's pre-occupation with these super androids.
