In 2004 a businessman named Sam Fox donated $50,000 to Swift-Boat Veterans for truth. Last December Sam Fox was nominated for the ambassadorship to Belgium by President Bush, a postion that had to go through a Senate comittee. One member of the comittee: Senator John Kerry. Oops! Bush then manuvered to delay Sam Fox's appearance before the comitte last week, waited for the Senate to go on Easter Break and then Bush gave Sam Fox the job via a Recess Appointment.
That $50,000 finally paid off for Sam Fox. (In the real world that's called a bribe.)
