It would be a great job if it really was a College Film project. As a Major film, It was appaulingly poor. The BBC has produced much better for less, and been genuinely suspenseful. Take a look at "Sapphire & Steel" some time. Or old Dr Who episodes. Even with the campiest and crappiest of cheap effects, they managed to pull off a heck of a lot with Story and Acting.
Of course, BWP had no script, the "actors" were forced to adlib given a minimal description of the situations. There goes story. That means that you have to rely on actors, who, while not entirely worthless, were not up to the task.
