I waited for this film to come out on TV so I wouldn't have to pay to see it, so that's why I'm so late in writing on it. As a huge MST3k fan, I've seen some pretty bad movies, but lemme just tell you that THIS is the WORST... MOVIE... EVER. Even Joel, Mike, Gypsy, Tom Servo, Crow, TV's Frank and Dr. Forrester couldn't save this collection of what looks like Mr. Hanky's a-hole with a bad case of Montezuma's Revenge!
First of all the movie opens with the lines "this is footage found of 3 missing dill-holes in the woods," and think that this gives them the perfect excuse for having a movie that looks like a crappy home video. WRONGO! It just makes for a VERY confusing movie!
Nevermind that the text doesn't tell you who a) found the film, b) spliced it together, c) didn't bother looking for other clues, d) never bothered looking for these idiots in the first place; how hard could it be for a search party with dogs to track down these three foul-smelling turd- brains? Then they get killed and they throw in some hints to some witch or something. DUh-EEEE!
Then we see the idiot wander into a graveyard and get stalked by ghosts or something; ok, the other horror films only affected people in the graveyard/haunted house/mummy's tomb etc; however this thing can track you and keep you wandering in circles for days? PLEASE!
Let's face it; some idiots just sent a couple of disgusting- looking kids out camping for a few days, filmed it while doing totally ad-lib, then say it looks "realistic" when they really mean CRAPPY. I've seen scarier stuff on Bob Saget. And what's with such UGLY-looking actors? Their hideous faces etc. were the scariest part of the whole film.
The most amazing thing to me is how 2 guys would let a GIRL (and an UGLY girl at that) lead them out into the woods-- and then wonder how they got lost! I mean, at least give us something WORTH looking at!
