The joke may well end up being on the Nader campaign however. Mastercard, like any other mega-corporation will fight tooth and nail to protect its trademark and its corporate image. And the fact that the folks who Mastercard finds itself up against have publicly declared Mastercard and the entire credit card industry to be a form of organized piracy will likely only whet Mastercard's appetite to fight.

McDonalds will think nothing of turning the power of their corporate legal staff in the direction of restaurants and diners which are named McDonalds (even though the actual owners of the eating establishment might really be named McDonalds). But I guess if you are running a multi-billion dollar business, you probably don't have the requisite sense of humor that would allow you to "lighten up" as Ralph and company have suggested.
