1. Getting the group inside the Staples Arena excited was no big deal...that's called preaching to the choir.
2. He asserted at the beginning that he was, "his own man" then spent the next 38 minutes running through a gift list of all the usual suspects.
3. I thought the use of the "little people" was shameless. What was he trying to say? That only Al Gore cares about sick kids but George Bush would agree with that nameless insurance company that the parents should put the kid up for adoption? I would like to know the name of the insurance company so that I could write a letter to them telling what I think of their monumental insensitivity to mankind. I got a feeling that we will never hear the name of the company because some Democrat somewhere is probably getting PAC money from them. Oh and yes, for all who want to tell me that Ronald Reagan patented and perfected this sham, I know and it sickened me when he did it.
4. I was waiting for the "specific proposals" that Al promised. All I heard were generalities about tax cuts, making education priority one, campaign finance reform, and working really, really hard for all of us.
5. Like I said elsewhere, this just about seals it for me. I was determined not to vote for Bush. Now I know not to vote for Gore either.
