about the "mooning"? I thought it was cool. . . I mean, that's what that battle was sort of about. . .Who has bigger balls? Them lifting their kilts was their way of saying "We do".
I think the movie's first half is much more powerful than the second. . . After William avenges Muran (sp?), it's less compelling to me. The Queen says "he fights to avenge a woman", but does he really? Or is he just a freedom fighter?
I'd say the latter, and it makes it less interesting to me. I suppose that's horrible, but I've seen way too many movies about opressed people fighting for their freedom to be impressed. The direction is wonderful, no question there, but when you know the outcome of the story, and the romantic element has ended, it makes it hard to stay involved. At least, for me.
