You need to talk to Red Cloak aka Melanie Griffithihhidy over on Opa- age. The guy specializes in discovering covert phallic or homoerotic symbolism/propoganda in film, particularly cartoons, nintendo video games, and Speilberg movies.
He could probably write you a thesis on the phallic imagery in flinstones cartoons off the top of his head..
