09/20/96: a word is a sound

To exist without poetry is to write but have no words to write with. Poets are indeed the most skilled manipulators of language. However that have taken language to a domain unaccessable by most.

Now the question is, do we need for all language to be for the glabal community? If yes is this a futile goal since nothing could ever connect with everyone.

If no, who does
poetry belong to? Just the educated? Or should it be left with the poets in dusty corners.

Should poetry be something for all of humanity to strive towards, with popular culture being eventually exposed for language butchery?
