07/14/00: Where does the crankster draw the line?

Posted By: luaP

I personally love cranky, and his fight against Hollywood's cookie-cutter bullshit making machine, but I have one small question, and I guess the Casablanca forum is the place to post it. I wonder, where does the Crankster draw the line? I can't understand how he can state that no movie is above his sharp wit (as evidenced by the Casablanca review), yet he has not reviewed a movie like Schindler's List. I'm not saying that Schindler's list is deserving of flaming barbs, but I just don't quite understand the motivation. He has reviewed other "depressing" films (well, most of the hollywood crap is depressing), like Angela's Ashes, Saving Prv. Ryan, etc. Why not this?
