hmm....
This is my first time here.
After looking over various reviews, including movies that are universally considered "good" - I suppose I have to marvel that anyone expresses outrage that Mr. Cranky does what he does.
Okay, there's probably something to poke fun of in any movie really, with a couple exceptions.
Casablanca is probably one of those exceptions though. There's very little anyone with any amount of taste or appreciation for film can find fault in.
But Mr. Cranky is Mr. Cranky and he is duty-bound to be... well... cranky....
So off course, he *has* to slam 'Casablanca' - just like he would any other film he has ever seen.
I suppose gentle readers have to use their judgment as to whether or not Mr. Cranky is serious or not - but I'd have to say decidedly not....
So enjoy Mr. Cranky for what he is... which is universally cranky and ill- tempered towards anyone who is so incautious as to put together a film.
At least you can't complain that he is being somehow biased...
