One of the most interesting facts about this movie, is definitely, that it is based on a true story. Just like Goodfellas!
The fact that it is almost three hours long makes it possible for the director to create a "round" character it is not the Tarantino like "in-boom-out-style".
In the decade of the special effects packed action movies this is definitely a pleasure to watch.
