They basically tried to cram a multi-volume manga series into one movie with an emphasis on creating scenes that look like what are probably some choice frames from the comic over a coherant plot to tie everything together. The movie is absolute shit to anyone who has not read the manga and I haven't. And I must say watching the movie makes me want to avoid it now.
