I think your absolutly right. Helen Hunt didn't really love him and think that he might some day return to her no she goes and married some asshole and on top of that had a kid. funny note: The first time I saw this movie I was on a cruise and the screen was a rectangle not a square so everyone looked like miggits and Helen Hunt looked like she had gained about 30 pounds since her apear in the movie Twister! haha...
