Cosmetology.
Re the case: it's not any quesiton of suing for a mere bad haircut. Rather, it's the risk of serious and permanent damage to the customer's hair and/or scalp -- hair loss, burning, infection, etc. -- that is the justification for regulating cosmetologists and hair stylists.
