...except that I haven't seen most of his earlier works, so that disqualifies me from truly judging him (everybody knows everything he's made lately has been mediocre or crap -- except for the crazies that thought "Gosford Park" was good). So I'm actually going to agree with Tarantino instead -- the man has directed 3 1/4 films, so why in the hell is he a film god? Admittedly, "Pulp Fiction" is one of the greatest films ever made, and "Reservoir Dogs" is pretty damn good, and "Jackie Brown" and his segment of "Four Rooms" had their moments -- but that little resume certainly doesn't make him the Jesus Christ of film!
De Palma is not overrated. Drew and M-C are the only two persons left in North America with any respect for the man. ;)
