12/23/02: Ridley Scott isn't overated

He's merely the Malcolm McDowell/Michael Caine of directing. A talented director who's chosen a lot of films beneath him, either for the cash or for the work. At his best though (Alien, Blade Runner, etc.) Scott is as good as any of the first string directors.
