... i mean, as i understand it.. Doesn't the director normally go to the art-guys and say "Okay, i want something kind of like THIS..."
And the art-guys go, and draw up something like that, and then they come back and the director says:
"Yes! I like that! We'll use it!"
Or
"Hmm.. could use a little bit of work...More of this and this and THAT"
And you can't deny that, visually speaking, pretty much ALL of Scott's films are impressive..That's usually the one thing you CAN count on with a Ridley Scott film...
Surely, you can't claim that their looking good is a fluke every single time.. The man has to have SOMETHING going for him, doesn't he?
I won't disagree with your "Blackhawk Down" wasn't anything great comment, though...I'd almost classify it as being fairly overrated.......If i had gone into it just expecting a typical Bruckheimer film, i probably wouldn't have minded so much.. But this thing was being hailed as one of the best war movies ever...
X: As much as i love Jodie Foster, i was VERY disappointed in "Panic Room"...
To tell the truth, i can barely remember anything that happened in that one, other then the fact that it was very formulaic and predictable.....
