John Woo may be over-rated (I mean... just look at Broken Arrow for goodness sake!) but you can't say he stole anything from matrix because most of the stuff in Matrix was just "high-tech" versions of stuff he had done in his older movies. If any stealing was done it was the W brothers stealing from Woo.
