There aren't too many things on this earth as sad as human arrogance. You grab a human being and kill them without provocation and you get a nice, long prison sentence. You kill an animal, you get a couple months. Maybe a year. Whatever, it was just an animal. Does anyone realize how fucked we would be if there were no other animals on the planet? I'm not like some people who think it's a terrible deed to consume meat; let's face it, it's an omnivore thing. Eat what you need to survive, there's nothing wrong with that. But have a heart, if that's possible. Other animals have just as much right, if not more of one, to live as humans do. I remember a quote in a previous reply to this topic that was something along the lines of "You must be some kind of sicko, putting the life of a dog above a human!" That has got to be one of the most disgusting statements I have ever read. You ought to be ashamed, all of you people who take the life of other creatures for granted. We sure are a pathetic excuse for a dominant species anymore.
