I didn't care for the game. But then I was expecting something more connected to the Wing Commander universe.

BTW, if you ever get a chance, download the ROM for the old C64 game 'Elite'. It pretty much started the Privateer genre, and Privateer 2 basically copied it for its combat aspects (down to the smart bomb and the 3d radar).
