09/01/05: Reminds me of an exert I read from The Great Emergency

the twit of an author thinks, that in an energy crisis/borderline apocalypse America, the redneck south is gonna have the toughest time making it/adapting. HA! Rednecks are much better survivors than suburbanites and inner city types (who'd kill each other). In that sense, THE POSTMAN had it right. A post-apocalyptic USA would be at the mercy of bands of redneck thugs.

Yeah, it's 3rd world vs. 1st world. The difference between the Third World poor and America's poor. The 3rd world poor struggle to survive and have the skills to do so, America's urban poor can make it on government handouts, and have no survival skills beyond dodging bullets in the ghetto. The average immigrant Mexican family could survive over an inner city African American family.

IT'S TIME TO STOP CODDLING OUR POOR!!
