M_H, I'm not American so I don't know what other aid- organizations there are in the States. Just that the Red Cross and United Way do not have a generous history of actually spending the money they receive.
That article I posted was from CNN. Mainstream enough for you?
I don't care if the Salvation Army intends all of its aid- recipients to convert to christianity. All I know is they actually do help beforehand.
I mean, wow, America is a BIG country and you only got two political parties and two aid organizations to donate to? Come on, you must be able to find other, more modestly sized relief organizations.
