Looks like it's all bottomsies from here.
I wonder...what's the point of watching bad movies? I've seen my fair share but I'm not really watching them, y'know? Most of the time they're on HBO and it's all ambient noise.
Not only that but have you noticed that if you buy the right A/V stuff that you can create your own theatre within your own house, sans the public and as confortable as YOU like it to be?
Because of where I live the theatres are low-grade. Where it either be a poor sound system or the public coughing or hacking away I like my homegrown home theater system. I hate distractions. Big screen, 5.1 Surround (can't afford THX) and via DSS nonetheless!
The single problem: Friends renting bad movies while I'm programming serious code upon my computer!
As in, my computing space is riiiiiiight outside the soundspace to the point I have to check out suppliers of cubicle partitions. Too bad that I don't have elsewhere in the house for it all though. And, to add to the misery, they DIG sitting at the bar counter near it and wanting to engage in "Trivial Pursuit" software-based contests! ARRRRRRRRGH!
I guess I'm resigned to the troubled entertainer who has the stuff, I guess. :-(
I digress nonetheless.
Have you noticed that the DSS PPV channels sometimes show flicks which have already appeared on HBO's "Friday Night Premieres?" "Phoenix" was a very dull flick and also seemed like yet another P.M. Entertainment Group Production which inspires sleep. Ray Liotta? Good actor but is now slumming with Dennis Hopper. Gawd!
And Dennis Hopper slums it up big-time in "Space Truckers?" Too damn lame! Special effects so awful that you wonder you could construct a web site about as bad..oh shit! Simon did! We're fucked!
These are supposed to be Grade-B movies but these seems more like grade-F! Troma flicks are the Grade-B standard...and always inspire chuckles! Man oh man...the waste in search of a dollar builds up. Can someone kill 'em all, please?
Retirement is a noble thing. Take a break but don't whore. I hate whores as much as the sheep who are willing to spend a LOT of time withing such sheep-oriented flicks.
Shut down Hollywood. Let Cannes and Sundance reign!
