It's a movie made by that circle of Scandinavian filmmakers, including Lars Von Trier, who pledged themselves to cinema verite principles.
See it if you can. It's a really funny movie, especially the scene where the loser brother sings an offensive song--just to bother his sister's boyfriend--and the guests end up singing along.
