The best match I've ever seen was right at the end of the old era-it was so nuts. The Heavenly Bodies (Jiggolo Jimmy and some other guy) Vs. The Steiner Brothers. The Bodies had this special move they did called the Moon-Sault where they'd back flip off the top rope and land head first on the guys back. I was 12 or so-me and my friends went on the trampoline for about 4 hours trying to reenact that stuff. I'm amazed we didn't break anything.
Another classic was Razor Ramon v the 1-2-3 Kid (the nobody who beat a real wrestler). Razor was always my favorite stereotype.
I mentioned Junk Yard Dog in an old post...I wonder if our JYD is one and the same, chains and all?
And what about the managers back then? Bobby 'the Brain' Heenan, 'Scary' Sherry, Jimmy 'the Mouth of the South', Paul Bearer, the Undertakers' manager..
ahh, memories...
