I am aware of the process you describe. It's the unethical people that frighten me. The big drug companies pay big money for research that supports their profit basis. I know "the Fugitive" is just a movie but I have seen similar things in real life.
COMA was a particularily nasty book about people deliberatly putting other people into comas so that they could have their bodies for organ donation. That was only a book but I think the organ trade in the real world is alive and well and not entirely ethically conducted.
You can lecture me anytime.
