Shakesmear: I think "guilty" is far too strong a word to describe Dr. Collins (who's a really good guy and doesn't deserve this). Since the research was done in his lab, he's certainly responsible for it, even though as a practical matter it's impossible to keep up with everything your associates are doing in the lab. And he's taken responsibility for the fraud. His behavior is highly ethical and quite admirable.
