What Blair didn't realize is that Bush has no respect for any country without oil. Dumbya just used Blalr as his poodle-attack-dog. Tony seems to have finally realized this, which is probably why you are seeing so many memos leaked in the UK from the whole Iraq debacle.
Violent crime seems to be increasing in the UK. States in the US with permissive concealed gun carry laws are seeing their crime rates go down. It doesn't take a gun to murder someone. None of the murders in Miami Beach Florida last year were done with a gun.

PS: I agree with most of his comments on beer and sports, but then they are very obvious points.
