07/21/05: I don't care that much about the companies...

The big entertainment conglomerates already have a lot of political power, and I see no reason to give them more. Besides, regardless of how much is spent on lobbying, entertainment companies still make easy scapegoats for politicians whenever they want to attack "cultural pollution". What's needed is someone (besides the Libertarians) to stand up for the First Amendment, and to say that it's better for people to choose what they and their kids should be able to watch/play/listen to/etc then it is for the government to decide those things.
