"A. Wal-Mart wasn't the target of the change, Rock Star was. Wal-Mart just remained consistent with its own policies after the "victory" over Rock Star."
Yes. You are correct.
Wal Mart was not the target.
But the outcome did affect Wal Mart.
"B. Video game restriction is not really a liberal argument. Though Clinton was the most vocal spokewoman for this incident, video games have been a convenient scapegoat for both sides for at least a decade now. Most gamers are themselves liberals and obviously realize how incredibly stupid this all is."
There are different kinds of liberals. There are the freedom loving liberals, and the freedom hating liberals. I wonder which of these two kinds the Democrats will choose to be their 2008 Preidential candidate. It certainly appears that Hillary is the favorite right now. But things can change between now and then.
"C. This a really stupid ruling in the first place, even ignoring the typical American "sex v. violence" hypocracy. The mini-game in question is actually fairly minor and appropriate for an M rated game, which is essentially equivalent to an R movie. And other games, including well- known ones like God of War and BMX:XXX, have similar levels of nudity and sexuality while retaining their M ratings. Besides, the code in question was locked out of the game, and can only be implemented using a hacked mod or code- altering devices like Action Replay."
No argument from me there.
