OK, it's "Casablanca" with one "s", and it got one fewer bomb than this mess. Still.
This movie in some ways may be more true to the book than the original movie, but I still maintain that:
a) it's a piece of crap, particularly when held up against the original movie.
b) the tacked-on backstory and moralistic ending completely negates any claim of being faithful to the source material.
