Tim Burton is a double offender: before Helena Bonham Carter, he would cast the lovely Lisa Marie in every flick ("Ed Wood", "Mars Attacks!", "Sleepy Hollow", "Planet of the Apes").
Brian De Palma used his ex-wife Nancy Allen often ("Carrie", "Blow Out", "Dressed to Kill", "Home Movies"), usually as a prostitute.
Al Adamson would cast his wife Regina Carrol as his leading lady in many of his pictures (most of with were re-editions of previous films with additional incoherent footage).
Dario Argento would cast his significant other Daria Nicoldi in his films, usually as the villain ("Deep Red", "Inferno", "Tenebrae", "Phenomena", "Opera").
